Obituary for Norma Wright
Norma Jean Wright was born in Atlanta, Georgia on July 30, 1944. She was called to eternal rest on Friday, June 14, 2013. Norma was educated in the Atlanta Public School system. She was an honor student and a graduate of the David T. Howard High Class of 1962. After retirement, she was dedicated to the care of her children. Norma will be remembered for her care and devotion to family and friends. She most enjoyed the fellowship of friends and family but most importantly she would find opportunities to give to others so that they would feel loved. She always would put herself before others. Norma was a longtime employee for the city of Atlanta police department. She was a faithful member of the APD team as a subpoena clerk. Norma was known for her excellent baking ability and her love for God. She believed that her love for cooking and the lord should be spread to everyone. She always had good word and something good to eat to share with everyone. Norma Jean is preceded in death by her parents, James Kemp and Hazel Sims, her sisters, Geneva Williams and Angela Jennings, and her children Henry Wright, Jr. and Tonja Wright. She is survived by her daughter, Tanjala Wright, son Derrick Wright (Angela), granddaughter Aubrey Wright, grandsons Drake Wright and Dylan Wright, nieces, Jamia Everson (Roderick), Kesha Johnson (Walter), Tawana Finch (John) and a host of other family members and friends. Services will be held on June 20, 2013
