Obituary for Annette WEBB
Mrs. Annette Freeman Webb was born to the late Dober Hand and Annie Freeman on August 17, 1927 in Troup County, GA. She graduated from East Depot High School in 1947. Annette was united in holy matrimony to the late Ervin Webb, Sr, on her birthday in 1951. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
After moving to Atlanta, Annette became a loyal member of the Antioch Baptist Church North in Atlanta, GA where she served as an active member of the Co-ed Usher board until her health failed. She was a faithful servant at Antioch and she loved her church family.
After graduating from the Grady Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Atlanta, GA in 1951, Annette worked for Grady as a Registered Nurse for 37 years where she cared for her patients with an abundance of compassion. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. She loved shopping, traveling around the world and taking fun trips with friends. Annette lived and enjoyed life to the fullest.
On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, Annette received her angel wings and flew into heaven. She peacefully passed away at her home. In addition to her husband and parents, her only sibling, John Neal Freeman, preceded her in death.
Annette’s pride and joy were her two sons, Bruce Webb (Hattie) of Fredericksburg, VA and Ervin Webb, Jr of Washington, DC, who will forever cherish her memories. She also leaves an abundance of love to her three grandsons, Brian Webb of Alexandria, VA, Bruce “Bernard” Webb, II of Cleveland, OH, Bryce Webb of Winston Salem, NC, and Edward Chase, who she loved like a grandson, of Oxon Hill, MD and a host of family members and sorrowful friends. Lastly, special thanks are extended to her loyal caretakers over the years; Mrs. Patricia Walton, Ms. Stacey Cook, Ms. Wanda Cook, Ms. Alberta Maddox and Ms. Gwen Arnold.
